The Tascam 80-8 has pitch control, right?
I couldn't tell from the pictures i found searching google.

but it had a Vari-Speed control as a wired add-on accessory.
With never having owned one, that's to the best of my recollection. ![]()

Unless the original was modified with the optional DC capstan motor and external speed box, pitch control was not possible.

The 80-8 also required a replacement of the original capstan motor in order to use the varispeed. I think the TASCAM 38 would be a better choice, IMHO.
