The Tascam 80-8 has pitch control, right?

With never having owned one, that's to the best of my recollection.

Unless the original was modified with the optional DC capstan motor and external speed box, pitch control was not possible.

My Revox PR99 MK3 has varispeed control

The 80-8 also required a replacement of the original capstan motor in order to use the varispeed. I think the TASCAM 38 would be a better choice, IMHO.
