mackie 32x8?

I am thinking about selling my Carvin 2488 mixer and getting a Mackie 32x8. Im wondering is the difference going to knock me out? I want to improve my sound but I really cant complain about the Carvin.I record on to 24 track adat.Thoughts?Jim

I use the Mackie 24*8 (also with ADATs) - the combination works very well for me!

Bruce...how would you think a Tascam m3500 would compare to the Mackie? There are a couple available right now, and I'd like to upgrade from my 16 channel board myself. But, at Digibid, I have seen that of the 5 found in a search, none appeared to sell, ranging from $1300 -$2500...certainly not an appealing aspect. I'm just guessing that maybe you've (or anyone else for that matter) has seen this board...or even the M2600. Oddly enough, both these boards seem to sell used at about the same price, but the M3500 listed for about $11,000 and the M2600 for about a third of that. any ideas, anyone??
