Well recording on steel tape or wire is not really any practical way of producing sound.

We have the German Magnetophone company to thank for the existance of plastic tape which is far better in performance and quality

As for me i am sticking to Revox reel to reel tape recorders

It is a nice find. You can’t get any better than buying lost and found stuff like this. Well, there will be some work to be done since it’s been sitting around so long, but that’s another story and I wouldn’t want to ruin the moment with the details.

I'd love to have it myself though.
