ive been listening to alot of snares this weekend, and i realized im looking for a very hard rock snare with not too much hi pitched tones. Alot like P.O.D., System of a down, Nonpoint. Thanks for your help guys!

System of a Down seems to use mostly really dry sounding snares, whole most harder rock bands use quite a bit of reverb on the snare. This might be what your looking for. Just try a large snare, and use very little reverb on it.
