Indie Rhythm ???

Friends...

I was contacted by Indie Rhythm (.com), hoping to sell my new CD release. They look a little like a low budget version of CD Baby; & I was wondering if anyone here has heard of them or had business contacts with them:

They're obviously dedicated to the sale of CD releases by indie artists...but they want a pretty good chunk of change to sign up as a featured artist. Do they sell a lot of CD's, does anyone know? Does anyone think they would be a good thing for an upcoming, independent artist?

Not really. It depends on how much $$ they want to sign you up. CD Baby pays on time and gets you listed quickly. Keep this in mind:

YOU sell CDs. They do nothing. They wont be responsible for even one sale, it all comes through you. They are essentially a phone book, and you are listed. It might give an aura of being "legit" in some peoples eyes ( compared to mailing them yourselves), but it is merely a vessel to store CDs and have your name on a site. YOU have to steer your customers to that site, browsing wont do much for you as far as sales.
