FL Studio midis

I just got the Demo version of FL Studio and the sound from there samples seem to work fine but I can't get it to play any midis that I open. Can anyone help?

you have to assign a soft synth or a sample to the midi channels.

Yeah the only problem i had with midi on FL was the Drums because if you use FL's drum synth live it sounds ...well like a synth. You cant change the samples that way (because it doesnt use them) On top of that you will have to change the triggered notes around because it wasnt made for midi or something i dont know fl hasnt caught on yet i guess. Anyways the best thing to do is to download a good drum sampler like GTG. I was surprised to see how many great vstis there are out there for free just search this BBS for free vstis. Dont give up on FL it can work wonders.(just kinda sucks that you have to buy so much more stuff just to be able to click on all of the buttons on FL) I hope this helps someone because it took me a long time to figure this one out. (I didnt bother to research)

FL has a drum sampler, the FPC.

If you want to quickly play a MIDI file then load a Fruity LSD(a GM soundbank) into a mixer channel and set its MIDI in port to 0.

haha sorry i didnt know that thanks ive downloaded so many free vstis that i cant even tell which ones came with the prog
