Christmas CD?
Hi,
I'd like to do a recording of traditional Christmas songs like The First Noel, Silent Night, etc... Do I need to get permission to record and sell a CD of songs like this from my personal web site? If so, can anyone point me in the right direction as who to ask? Thanks! Donny

No, as long as they were written before 1923, with certain exceptions. I believe Irving Berlin is one, so "White Christmas" is out. Anything like Jingle Bells, Silent Night, Hark the Herald... blah blah is safe, record away.
