Alesis adat HD24 problem

Ok, I have an Alesis adat HD24 and a Mackie d8b, I'm using light pipes to and from Mackie and Adat but if I change the pitch on my adat either up or down I get a noise like if both machine were using different sample rates.

I've tried recording at 48 Khz and at 44.1 Khz with the same results but if I don't touch the pitch everything sounds normal.

Help please and thanks in advance.

I assume that the Mackie is being driven by the HD24's clock (and if not, that's clearly your problem). But if they're properly synced and you're still getting clicks, then it could be that the Mackie just can't handle the clock changes that the HD24 is passing along.

Is there some reason that you're asking this question here rather than in the HD24 Yahoo group?
