I thought it was just OK........... Not really hiphop to me, just a regular beat with a (IMO) dull sample. Kanye typish, but I'm into that type ish! Respect still to all my beatmakers, I got nothing but love 4 ya! But I thought that wsa just OK!

yo the other beat - that git it poppin joint - seems so much better produced - its hard to believe u did both!!! this beat is cool - real laid back - but it seems a bit more like mood music for the background of a album snippet more than a track - but im sure that statement is entirely opionated - and if u feel it, u can breathe more life into it with appropriate lyrics n concept -

there isnt anything "wrong" wit the beat - and the empty spaces line is truly RETROSPECTIVE- so as long as teh verses are as well - the final product will be . .. HIP HOP!!!

I LISTENED TO IT TWICE - ITs actually a real melodic type thing - just gotta be laid back or prepared to slow it down for the track - all in all - it will do what it do!!! just gotta have it "drop" at the right time -

My production style is like this
When the artist is done with the verses i go to work from there, i do the bulk of my production work in the pre mixing stage. Thats when i basically "Dr. Dre" the song by adding drops and extra sounds thath i feel will fill the music out to its fullest potential. The single was done like that and the same for all my other clients, i like working like that because its the direction the artist has plus my ability to create freely whether the artist is there or not.

That explains it then! I was gonna say it sounds commercial, that's cool. It is just my fault that I was geared up anticipating another sound. In that case, I tthink it's cool! That'll definitley work for commercial/soundtrack type work!
