Catchy right from the opening bars....

Vocals are muffled and/or distorted but have a good melody. I just can't make out the words very well. The chorus/backup vocals are a bit too loud, compared to the main vocalist.

Guitars have more gain than I like - what are you using for amp/effects?

Bass sounds good....

Snare is rockin'

The writing/singing/playing is great but the overall mix could be cleaner especially vocals.....

I have to be honest & say that this sounds, (particularly the bass & drums), like a DIY punk, project from '76. Endearingly so but not any level of clarity or fidelity - could well be you MP3 compression process.
A bunch of great ideas & a good song but on this listening you either need to completely remix working on the OVERALL sound or retrack heaps.
What did you record with? That might explain some things.
please mention mics, what device, pre's etc.

I used...the presonus firepod, shure condensor mic, shure sm57 mic, groove tube fet55 mic, and cakewalk producer edition software...
