New one....
Hey guys...Have been pretty busy and not had time to post or listen. Quite a few posts I have to catch up on.
I did this tune over the last week or so. I'm not sure if the snare's too loud and/or if the vocals are too low....or any other issues you may notice. Let me know how it sounds. (If the player behaves it should play right away...make sure you're listening to INDIAN SUMMER) |

Nice sounds at the start...drums have no issues I hear. Nice guitar tone. Nice bass tone also. You might bring the vocals up just a tad...I hear them fine, but they don't come across as the main point. (Just an observation here. )
I think th equality of the player is really hurting this tune...the cymbals are pretty washy. Can you upload better quality, or is that strictly in the player? (Sorry to nit man, but I know what the good quality sounds like from you, so I am comparing to that. ) You might need to drop the bass a smidge...it sounds awesome, but as far as the mix, it might cover the kick some. Ok. I left that comment, and DL'd the tune...the player does hurt the quality some, in my opinion. (just thought I'd mention that, because that was how I initially listened. ) In winamp, it's totally different. At 320K, the drums sound better. Vocals are more prominent. Sounds like the bass needs to come down a db or 2, or compress it more. It's very full, and takes a bit of space from the kick, and seems to overpower the vocals a little. Great tone, and note choice, but it's probably too up front for this type of tune. Guitar tone is great, and the chords/notes are cool. Nice rhythm to this. Great vox man. Hope this makes sense...if not, blame the beer...we have winter beers now, and I love them.... ![]()

the mp3 is compressed a lot... i'd love a better-quality copy to listen to
the snare is fine i'd say vocals are maybe too low in places, fine in others -- the aahs seem a bit too loud to me overall, sounds good |

Thanx guys. I should have mentioned that you can download a 320kps MP3 in the "FREE MUSIC" section. That stream is 96kps. Thanx kfor the comments. I do hear the bass too loud now that you mention it, Dogman. Zildjohn, good point about the "aaaah's". They can come down too. Thanx alot, guys.

Yo R-dawg, what's up? I saw dogman's review and went straight to the download version. Tune sounds cool, drums are punchy, bass is powerful. Overall vox are a bit buried. Nice groove, kind of hypnotic... probably from the repeating guitar parts. I think you could milk that a bit more. Maybe add some more tracks of the same guitar part in different tones/pannings as the song builds. Make it thicker and even more layered. Yeah, my system definitely says more vox volume man. The ending is a bit abrupt too. Otherwise, cool groove here man, enjoyed this, rocks

Thanx Snaker...nice to hear from you. I'm re-mixing it right now. Bringing up the vox, bringing down the bass and a few other adjustments. Thanx, man.

Your initial concerns appear to be valid - the vocals could come up and the snare is a bit hot....might be an eq battle between vocals and guitar though.
The whole tune has a nice smooth feel to it, it moves nicely with a great groove. Nice rock and roll arrangement - I could see this played in an arena.... Cool guitar riffs throughout - more of what I likened to the Keith Richards style of playing, but your signature is stamped on it.... Very cool melody and backups in the chorus....the harmonies sound like a keyboard playing - reminds me of Queen. Great job - it will go great on the next CD...... ![]() |

I downloaded the new version after reading it was available....
Ahhs are better, main vocals sitting better now...still think they could come up a tiny bit more...but YMMV....that's just my preference so take that as just that. Bass is nice and thumpy....this is a good mix.....you are a great writer man.....amazing.... |

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL O RAMI,
Cool as **** mate. The critiques above are pretty spot on I have to agree strongly re bass gtr & bass drum. they are so perfectly in synch that there's some treading on being done. A little EQing or, more radically, a tiny bit of panning ought to address that. Some REALLY nice stuff happening on bass in particular. Nice to hear you again. |

Wow already starting a new album! Awesome man
I really can't say much more about the mix but I do suggest you come up with a cool new sound for this album, you know? Like all bands, they sound different in each CD and it makes it interesting. Maybe going a bit heavier and changing the drum sound. I dunno, that's just me. p.s. getting my texas ID this wednsday and will open an account finally. ![]() |

Really like the bass sound man and how it fits with the bass drum real well. I don't struggle to hear either. Guitars sound real nice. Your vocals always sound great. Chorus is great. Wish i had more to offer man. From here everything sounds in place.
Take care man gary

I always have trouble finding any fault in your work RAMI. Sounding as good as ever IMHO.
Just got back from work, sat down with a cuppa, shut my eyes, and found myself drifting off into the tune. Sign of a good tune the way I see it ![]() And I'll be ordering your CD as soon as I have some damn money ![]()

RAMI - just enjoying another listen to your tune....
It's like -3C here (1.5 feet of snow) and +17C in Montreal..... What's this Indian Summer you speak of ? Maybe I should write one called "Winter and Road Construction Season" to reference Alberta's crappy weather... LOL - great tune man... |

Hey RAMI !!!
Been wondering where you were. I'm listening to this in headphones now. I may not get to the end before my lunch break is over. It's sounding good now. The issues mentioned from the first mix seem to all be taken care of. Nice bass, my friend!! Very punchy with great lines. Damn. Didn't make to the end. I must go now. Great job, I'll try to make it back to this again . . . |

I like how you've got the bass sitting, it's got good tone and presence without being overbearing. I gotta learn how to do that. Good tune
