Actually sounds pretty good to me...maybe the guitars are a bit overbearing in the upper end...it doesn't sound bad, but does distract a bit from teh cymbal hits. maybe bringing the very top of teh guitars down a db or 2 would let the cymbals ring through a bit more...and maybe not. Just a thought to try. For the most part though, it sounds pretty nice. Has a Foo Fighters sort of vibe to it.

Thanks Dogman.
Yeah the guitars are maybe a tad bright and when I bring the bass in this will be emphasised. So I might bring the his down a touch. Cheers, Eck |

I gave a quick listen- sounds good. The only thing that I didn't like was it sounded to me like you miked the snare from below and had that buzzy sound too hot in the mix. Just my humnle opinion. Cheers, Rez

Your spot on with that. THere is a bit too much buzz. Im trying to make a compromise between the hi end sound of the bottom snare mic and the buzzy sound.

Pretty good. Guitars sound ok to me, panning works well.
The snare is yucky though. Too much "snare" sound. More crack would do better. |

Yeah I agree with the foofighters comparison.
Hell, it's over already I just started typing. Also agree you gotta do something about that snare - it's real distracting and detracts from the rest of the song. I wouldn't even bother with the bottom mic, just double the top mic & compress it |

THe top snare on its own sounds very dull and dead. I need the bottom snare mic to add some life into the sound. I might bring the bottom mic down in the mix, or try and replace the snare altogether.
Cheers all. Eck |
