I'm gonna need some help!

I guess I got some good news, I copped the MPC 2500 on ebay for $1,050. WHAT A STEAL!!! It has a 128 card installed and in mint condition, I just need to add a cd drive and a hardrive (I think I might need one!!)............Anyone have any good sites to get some samples to load? I am also thinking of grabbing a good sound module, any recommendations?
Also to the other MPC users, I will be bugging the HELL out of you, so please be patient with me! I know I can go to the Akai forum and other MPC forums, but I am comfortable with Family, feel me?

You should get the hard drive but the CD drive isn't entirely necessary.

Now my question is: If I don't get the cd drive, how do I load samples into the MPC, via USB?

Yep.

The CD drive will set you back about 300 bucks, so it ain't worth buying until later (not urgent).

read the manual. or you can plug your cd player's outs to the rec inputs on the back of the 2500, and sample into it.

I think he knows you can sample through the inputs. Trumpspade was talking about loading the audio data in.
