Arrow Listen to Our First Demo Project (Freestyled)

I have finally finished our first demo project. Each and every song (all 12 of them) are freestyled, except for the choruses.

Just click on a song to start listening to it (via streaming). I ordered from top to bottom the ones I like most.

"Straight Up"
"I'm Coming Quick"
"The Game Ain't Stopping Me"
"Start A Riot"
"Rolling the Streets"
"Collecting Dividends"
"Don't Stop"
"Kill, Front, Die"
"Reminiscence"
"Erase Those Haters"
"Lifestyles"
"Kick Back"

You can also listen to them from our GarageBand.com page:

http://www.garageband.com/artist/chadbean

Let me explain what I meant by "our". I'm Chris, and I created all of the beats from the ground up using a drum program and an a lot of software synthesizers. I'm also the one who recorded and produced everything, which I did right out of my own house (didn't step foot in a studio). I'm currently doing a home training course for becoming an audio engineer, so I figured this would be good practice.

Now the heart of the songs, however, is done by Chad. He provides the vocals and lyrics. However, Chad freestyled every song except the chorus, which is what he based his freestyling on. We plan on going back and writing better lyrics later, if needed.

We don't have a name for us yet, so I just use Chad's name: "Chad Bean". We will come up with a good rapper-type name soon.

Listen to a few (or all) of the songs and let me know what you think.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. Yeah, as mentioned in the first post, we already plan on writing some lyrics for every song. We pretty much just did the freestyling to kinda test out some different sounds and styles to see what worked best, and to see what other people (such as yourself) like. Then based on that, it'll help with figuring out what kinda style works best for each song.

The best style you can possibly use is your own unique style, never look to others to tell you wut style is good for you. with that said i like the beats could use more changeups maybe but the mixing is bad like said before overall i rate a 2 outta 5 due to lyrics

i agree halfway - but i beg to differ - but style/content can be thin-line distinctive

Are you from Houston? Sounds like it because of your flow and lyrical content!

I think the production part of it is good, could use minor fixing. But I am not totally sold on your rap skills. I can't really critique honestly, maybe I need to hear you spit something written, because there is so much unsureness and every other word is NIGGA NIGGA NIGGA.................. Good start though! I'm sure you are still at an experimenting phase, so I'll give you that! Keep at that production because I think you are doing well, but lyrically tighten it up, and tighten up your delivery too.............

Well IM not impressed at all..

Im Came, I Listened, I Just realizes you all are still talking the same shit every other artist is talkin about Cars and killing and have money..nothing new..mixing need work..vocab need to be expanded a hellva lot more...to me it stupid to have a chorus/hook and freestyle the song..beats- some have promise...

just need a better vocab..and write something to a real song structure..

and im done..
