Tracks "doubling/rerecording/building" in GT Pro 3.

All -

I've got Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro 3 and, seemingly out of the blue, I have a very unusual issue.

Each track seems to "re-record" or build onto the next track.

For example: I record an acoustic guitar on Track 1. I then arm Track 2 and record an electric guitar solo. The acoustic part from Track 1 will be doubled/re-recorded in Track 2 along with the electric part. Almost like an auto-bounce but it still lets me record in the armed track.

Also, and I'm sure its related, the metronome actually records as well. I tried to lay down a soft acoustic track a few days ago and the metronome recorded right into the track (and playback for the metronome was unchecked).

Any ideas? I also have a support case open with Cakewalk.

Thanks -
toad

make sure you are assigning left or right on the track and check to see that you don't have sound on sound enabled. left-trk1 right-trk2

Are you using a sound blaster?

Make sure you turn off the 'record what you hear' switch
