Casio PX-100 Privia or Prokeys 88sx

I need a simple stage piano. It's down to those two. I get the impression teh Casio PX-100 Privia has better action? And I've heard it only has a headphone out. I can convert it to 1/4" then run it through a pre then into a pa right? Is the prokeys 88sx action really that bad? People say it isnt that good.

I need some suggestions! Thanks!

I'll look at mine tonight. It's a standard wall-wart adapter.

I like the sound and action of the Privia, even recording from the headphone out.

hey it's ok you don't have to do that, but thanks anyways! I went ahead and bought one off ebay for 300 bucks, thats including shipping and it came with everything!! I'm exited. I heard the privia was a little frail, so I went ahead with the prokeys.

i've seen some of the ebay auctions-- make sure you're getting the prokeys and not the prokeys se or whatever it is-- the "semi-weighted one" that one usually goes new for about $300...

i checked both out and hated the m-audio stuff , it just felt so crappy for a weighted keyboard . the casio did to my supprise have a decent weighted action.

I think I'll be very happy with it, it's only for live shows, I record with an accoustic grand in my livingroom, and just wanted something nice, slim, portable, and decent for shows.

Go check out one of these and marry it with a sampler rack that has good piano sounds , roland fantom xr for example.

novation controllers outclass M-audio in every conceivable way

I own the Privia 300 and I find the keys to respond very much like my upright piano did. It also sounds very much like an acoustic piano.

I've said this before, I'll say it again.

As much as I hate to admit it the Casio Privias have the best keyboard action of any digital I've ever played.

Yup, I know, it's a Casio.

It's also lighter than anything that even comes close to feeling as realisitc.

The reason I got the prokeys over the privia is that

a.looks cooler!
b.and more importantly, it looks more durable......
I've heard the privia is a little frail. I remember checking one out at bestbuy once and thinking the same thing.

And again, this is strictly for live proformances.
