The SR-16 Drum Machine...
How do you guys find it? Are the drum sounds good enough for simple ballads and slow songs?
Thanks.

Pier.

I had one and thought/think that it's pretty good. I upgraded to an MPC2000 and still use Alesis drum sounds (I have a Quadrasynth and DM5 sounds). But, yeah, it'll work for what you need.

I have a SR-16 the toms don't sound real, neither dose the crash. I'm hoping that my next drum machine is better.

Maybe check out some newer models, they may have improved.

Thumbs down

I use the HR-16b and I like it alot... I have definately gotten my moneys worth over the years. The toms sound like doo-doo, though... There is only one ride and only one crash (which sucks... I need more) although you can pitch shift them to alter the sound.
The kicks and snares sound killer. The High hat is pretty realistic sounding too. I like it.
