Speeding up a entire song in SX3

Maybe a stupid question! How do you speed up a entire project in
Cubase SX3. I have tried the Tempo track, penned in the changes that I
want, But It won't work? Thank's to all, Eddie

Did you change the tempo from 'fixed' to 'track' on the transporter?

I'm not familiar with Cubase, but you can use this calculator to determine how much time stretching to apply for the bpm.

The tracks themselves need to be changed from 'linear' to 'musical' by pressing the musical note button on each specific track.

Ok - time to back up.

Are you dealing with Audio or MIDI tracks?

The tempo track will have no effect whasoever on Audio tracks unless they have been processed with the HitPoint detection features.

Open your audio file in the editor and turn on 'musical mode' (little musical note button on the editor toolbar.

Depending on where the audio came from originally, you may have to play around with the tempo settings in the editor.

If they are audio tracks you actually recorded in the project you shouldn't have to do any playing around. You just turn musical mode on, and it will stick to whatever tempo you set in the project.

Just remember that if its a drastic speed increase it could make your audio files sound a tiny bit garbled.
