Cubase To ProTools

Hey, Im preparing for a session of ProTools in another studio, which is Quad Studios in Nashville. Im currently using Cubase at home. How can I export my file s properly so that I can load them into ProTools without any problems. By the way they use ProToolsHD.

Export each track as a individual wave file via the audio mixdown. Do a search on the forums, I seem to remember someone posting a link to a macro that automates this process.

In either event, mono track are save as mono files and stereo tracks should be saved as L/R files. Make sure your markers are at the exact start of the track and just go through one by one and solo each track

It's a $500 addon and from what I hear, it does not work too well

What?

OMF works. It should be the same on any platform, and I thought it was a digi designed protocol.

Addon to what? They're using ProToolsHD and using OMF would make things alot easier.

Add-on to protools aka Digitranslator. PT does not have a native OMF import. I have always been told just to dump the waves and not even deal with OMF

Yep, I read up on it a bit, and Pro Tools makes you by more crap to do OMF. Sorry, I guess that's out.
