New GT "Convertible" mic. Not too shabby.
During the mic testing session with Wagener, he had a GT Convertible mic there that they were wanting him to demo. We put it on guitar cab with lots of other well known mics and it kicked a bunch of thier asses, ESPECIALLY the SM57, and the e609, the Beyer M500, a few others. This mic was decently smooth and just sounded pretty nice.
He has since used/tried it on snare and vocals, and is liking it a lot from the looks of things. Its supposedly like $99... feels and looks cool (there is a vocal ball you can screw off, hence the "convertible" and basically make it into an instrument mic. According to him, they sell them at GC under the name "Sterling" also. Just a heads up. I'm gonna get one.
