Fade-in

I'd like to achieve an efect simillar to the intro of "Testicular manslaughter" (*don't ask me*) from Cattle decapitation. Is the fourth song on their space: http://www.myspace.com/cattledecapitation.

Well, the song I'm doing starts on the 4th bar. I've tried to add a fade-in to the main track in Pro Tools using the fade tool but the thing happens only in that selection. I cannot apply a fade from bar 1 to bar 5 (to make the fade more "long") Er... the effect of TMS is like an in-your-face volume slide, and it seems it starts before the song is starting... any help?

Mix the song and fade it in mastering. I went to listen to that song, but it took too long to bring up the thousands of anamated gifs, so I gave up.

You could also automate the master fader, or send the channels to a group and automate that fader.

Yup man, that page is pretty heavy to download but.... the thing happens in the first 6 seconds so try it again when you got time, maybe you'll end liking the band, lol

I'll follow your advice. I'll mix it up today and try to do the master fade automate thing. Thanks.
