Is there a manual for cubasis VST?

I bought an EMU 0404 sound card and in came with cubasis VST. There is a "tutorial Song" on there that starts at the parameters, but skips right over the actual process of recording. I can't find anything else on the software that gets me started recording.

Good news for you. Steinberg has released Cubase VST 5 as freeware on their ftp. You can reach it at ftp://ftp.steinberg.net/Archives/PC/Cubase50x/50r6
It's the full version of Cubasis. There should also be help files there.

You really have to stop posting these misleading messages. Those are simply updates. I tried it several times and it is not the actual app.

Wow, I didn't know that. I could have sworn I've gotten the full app from their ftp. Thanks for letting me know.

I think I have it, I had to go back to the software disk and check it out.

Now I'm having a No sound problem.
VST mixer says it's getting a signal, and I have "enabled" monitors, but no sound. the monitors do work.

Thanx. I think I've got it solved. A guy over at the 0404 soundcard forums told me to right click on the emu emblem, and it worked .

why I don't know. me messing around with some configuration must have changed something.

This 0404 soundcard/software cost me $99.00, and it seems to have A LOT of stuff, and a lot to learn. I can just imagine the frustration with the more expensive units.

I've got Cubsis VST but have since upgraded to SX3. If you want it along with the hardcopy manual, PM me. All I need is enough to cover the postal cost.
