mastering using the mr-8

what's the consensus on mastering using an mr-8: worth it, or basically useless to try and push a button to magically master a mix?

I'd go with door number 2

The effects and mastering tools on the MR8 are nice little toys, but I wouldn't let them carry too much weight in any recording you're going to be serious about...

Ja... I really hate the effects on my MR-8. Just don't do it for me.

i've done a final mix, but i wouldn't call it mastered, i've also mixed to it from a 16 track. i don't use those 3 wreck buttons tho. i tried them many times, too weird.

i've gone from a 16 tk thru a pro vla to mr8 also

i like mixing to it since i know from experience what the levels are on the meters and what they will be on the final.
