Unhappy

Hi, can anyone help me with V5 Cubase. I 've tried every thing to get the send effects working, but nothing happens!Inserts work fine, but I'm not getting any change to the audio after following all documentation from the various manuals. I'm not new to recording, I have a Pentium III, 256 of Ram and a Soundblaster Live Platinum and have been using Cubasis for about 2 years, but Cubase 5 doesn't seem to be as straight forward as Cubasis ie; turn an effect on and you hear it!Is there something I have to enable somewhere in the grouping or output busses, cos by all accounts it should work after following instructions!
Please, if there is anyone fully conversent with Cubase 5,
help me as soon as possible as I bought this to progress and at the moment I'm stuck!!
Phonic Orange.

You have the effect turned on under 'audio, effects' (from the drop down menu's) as well as the effect turned on, on that particuliar channel in mixer view? It should be working...

Yeah, the effect is turned on ( Cubase 5 is set out differently to 3.7) but nothing,I don't even have master effects working either! All preliminary instructions have been followed to the letter and your right,it should be working!!( why me?!!)

Yeah, Cheers Emeric, I uninstalled Cubase, then re-installed it and everything seems fine!I wonder if you know why anything recorded originally in Cubasis at 48 Khz, then opened up in Cubase 5, doesn't allow any effects to be asigned ( just like my original problem )but if I was to record at 48 Khz in Cubase 5, it does?

Nope, sorry. Don't know the reason there. Glad you got the bulk of your problems sorted out though!

Maybe try converting them to 44.1? Don't know.

Thanks, I did convert to 44.1, but of course, it slows the audio down rendering it useless!! I wish that I had recorded all those earlier tracks in Cubasis at 44.1!! I think the word "Tosser" springs to mind!
