Unhappy Studio Projects VTB1-Rack kit ! Anyone?

Hi anyone using the Studio Projects VTB1-RK ?

Iīhave just purchased 2 x VTB1 Mic Pre Amp and 1 rack kit.

Can someone explain me how to mount them on their rack kit?
I am forcing so much to take out the VTB1 side screws and they
donīt come out!

And whatīs the use of the 2 metal pieces that come with the rack kit?
I canīt find any information to mount them....

Please help me out!

Thanks!

PS- I am talking about the Studio Projects VTB1-RK (Rack Kit), that they
made to be able to screw 2 units on it, not any rack shelf...

Ok my wife mounted mine so I am going by watching her and remembering what she did. You unscrew all four side screws, then the two metal pieces get screwed into the left side of one and the right side of the othe one, with 2 of the longer screws that came with the kit. Use the "agressive threaded" screws that came with the rack kit to screw the two metal flanges to the shelf itself. Then you should still have two longer screws left to screw the sides of the shelf to the sides of the VTB-1s. Did any of that make sense?

Hi! Thanks for your reply...
I am still figure out, my its getting less confused.

So according to your description, the 2 metal pieces will face to face
each other in the middle of the rack?

And when you say "agressive threaded" screws, are you talking about
the 4 shorter screws that came with the rack kit?
There is 4 holes in the middle-bottom of the rack, do you screw them there?

Can you ask your wife, if it was easy to take off the screws from the VTB1 units?
Because Iīm having a bad time, try with diferent screwdrivers and the
screws are just starting to loosing their head!!

It would be great if you could give me more info on that!
Some pictures would be great!
Thanks again!

That probably doesn't help. But I would assume lefty loosey, I don't remember her having a hard time getting the screws out of the VTB-1s.

the screws aren't the problem...you are probably using a screw driver that is too big...

last thing you wanna do is completely strip them...if you do...you are gonna have a hell of a time

Oh man!
I tell you!
There was no turning back...

Iīve drill out the screw heads completely, to be able to take
the top off, and then go inside and throw away the rest of the screws.

Anyway, one is on the rack, I am waiting for the second VTB1 unit,
and lets hope that the screws arenīt stuck as hell!
