Uh Oh

hi, last night i loaded all the data that i had on my vf16 to a jaz drive when i was finished i turned off the vf16,
i wanted to put down a new song today, i went into bus rec mode(as always) pressed the rec button, i could hear my guitar so i tuned up and i was ready to go or so i tought, when i pressed the rec + play buttons invaild or viod cmd(command) came up on the screen,
i never saw this before, to be honest it freaked the shit out of me,
i tried a new programme but could only select the programme i was in,
i tried direct rec same thing only this time i could not hear my guitar when i pressed the rec button,
have i done serious damage without knowing it.....
it was perfect before i used it with the jaz drive and it was the first time i used the jaz drive as i was running low on disc space....

anybody seen this before or know what i did wrong pls, pls HELP

when i bought the vf16 there was 13.5gb on the harddrive, i had used just under 2gb, that was about 30 programmes/songs/riffs /ideas, all the data went onto the jaz drive, and the harddrive went back to 13.5gb thats the only thing i cheaked before i turned it off, turned it on today and now its stuck on programme 1 and it wont let me record on it.

WHY?????

http://www.fostex.com/

They have a forum and a way to contact customer services if your manual can't help you out. I don't know if there is a way to reset the unit. I know the MR-8 manual tells you how to reset it.

What does your manual say?

Good luck with it. I know from experience that it's frustrating when your gear is screwed up and you can't do anything with it.

Go back to the fostex site and look under the updates, it should be there. As far as updating goes, it may be best to go from the USB straight into the VF...

Go to VF16.com to find the updates.
I would use the Jaz to do it.
