Photon 25 ???

Hi just purchasd an Alesis Photon 25, it's the first thing like this i've ever purchased so forgive my stupidness to maybe the obvious!!

I'd like to use this to control the parameters within cubase SX and BFD, but i don't have the first clue of how to go about this!

Any pointers anyone??

Oh i use the USB connection if that makes any difference.

First, install the CD that came along with the Photon. Since it's also an audio interface you'll need to make sure that it's the only audio card in the control panel of your PC. In other words, deactivate the stock sound card.

For knob control of the mixer faders for example, you need to select a parameter that you'd like to control and use the 'midi learn feature that's built into Cubase. If you're using BFD as a plugin there are facilities to control that from the Photon too.
