I see where you are going with that one .Its nice but it needs some harder drums to give it life.I think you should speed up your tracks. i listened to the others on the page.I really like that second one .

Great composition and structure, man. I really like this beat.

The drum sample is dirty... I like it a bit grimy, however, it needs more punch. Try compressing the kick, maybe with a threshold of -10, fast attack, fast release, and a gain compensation of 6db or so. Use a ratio of 6:1 maybe... see where that gets you...

For the snare, its a bit harsh. EQ it down a bit in the 6k to 12k range, reduce it around 3db. Also, a small but warm reverb on the snare, will make it fit the feel of the beat better.

Strings have an abrupt end to them as well... use volume envelopes to smooth the transitions on your strings. Will sound much better.

Thx man, thats what I call constructive feedback.

I havent got any expierience with compression, but I'll try what you say, cuz it sounds good. I already wanted to try reveb on the snare, but how exactly do I archieve a warm reverb? Just a very short, subtle reverb? I don't know about the EQ ing part, but I'll try that out too. I'll post the beat again when it's edited.

I changed the beat to what Change of POETS said, I compressed the kick, lowered the snare, and took out the gunshot like Noddy & Puddy said. I hope you like it more this time.

Nice, is this looped or played out? I'm feeling it, i think if you put that snare in stereo it will add more demension to it. the strings sound really good and it has an overall nice melody the bassline is on fire!

Thanks man. The snare in stereo? Maybe I gotta try that but I never heard it before, I think it's a lil annoying you know. With the paino thing, I played it, and then made some corrections in it, and then just duplicated and sequenced it after eachother.
