Hello,
I just moved my studio to a new house and converted the garage into a studio. The new carpet is a medium pile and is really staticicky. I am getting a lot of pops and clicks on my ADATs and thru Pro Tools. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rock On! |

It sounds like you've used synthetic carpet.(Nylon/Rayon etc) Even a cross blend will do it. Its just static electricity, but it could damage your gear or wipe your tapes.
I always use a natural fibre carpet like Pure Australian Wool I understand there are some sprays you can get to cut down the static, check your local carpet shop. cheers John |

yeah ... StaticGuard ... meant for clothing, but it should work for this too. You can probably get it at any Target/Kmart type store in the states.
