Static in th Attic(Garage)

Hello,
I just moved my studio to a new house and converted the
garage into a studio. The new carpet is a medium pile and
is really staticicky. I am getting a lot of pops and clicks
on my ADATs and thru Pro Tools. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

It sounds like you've used synthetic carpet.(Nylon/Rayon etc) Even a cross blend will do it. Its just static electricity, but it could damage your gear or wipe your tapes.
I always use a natural fibre carpet like Pure Australian Wool
I understand there are some sprays you can get to cut down the static, check your local carpet shop.

yeah ... StaticGuard ... meant for clothing, but it should work for this too. You can probably get it at any Target/Kmart type store in the states.
