Does this forum have an FAQ or sticky thread for general resources?

Folks:

I haven't spent much time hanging out here, but I was wondering if the forum has an FAQ or a sticky thread? I didn't see one on the forum list of current threads, nor did I get anything from searching the BBS FAQ for "studio building". Have I just overlooked something obvious?

I was just looking for the FAQ, the first line of which should say: "Go read the latest edition of F. Alton Everest's "Master Handbook of Acoustics" as many times as it takes for you to really understand all it says before you do anything else, especially post on this forum."

The simple answer is..........NO , however, the past guru of this forum, John Sayers, (you'll find his posts back a few years) had written a good basic manual covering studio basics and recording, this manual later became SAE's "reference material"....see the index here http://www.saecollege.de/reference_material/index.html .............also, you can go to John's studio design forums here .......
