music video audio

Does anyone know if music videos are mixed differently than the audio tracks that are on an artist's album? Are music videos stereo or mono? I have noticed music videos don't really pop in a kind of 3D way.

they'll be stere. they're usually just what's off the CD you buy in the stores unless they've decided to add something extra.

if it's a music video made for DVD and they decided to utilize 5.1 surround, then that's another thing.
