Need mic, will travel
I tried a search on this, but i keep getting a blank screen...
Anyways, I've got a cheap rig, but over time managed to tweak the heck out of it to make it sound pretty good. However, now I want to get my sound into the P.A.. The line-out on the amp stinks, and is way over distorted, cruddy, or just plain wrong. I've read somewhere that most guitar amps do the same thing. So I thought I'd mic my cab instead. I know it's simple and I do happen to have an extra cheapy mic laying around, however... do they make mic's specifically for cab applications? Are there such things as mic cab mounting kits? I've tried a search on Musicians Friend, but came up with nothing at all. Suggestions? |

Probably the most convenient mic is the Sennheiser e609, which you can hang down by its cable looped through the handle of the amp.

Or the GSL ES57, which has received a lot of favorable buzz here.
