anybody interested in buying or trading for a RODE NT-2A?

i tried to hock one of these bad boys on here a few weeks back, not realizing that certain retail outlets were selling them new for about what i was asking for them used...

anyways, i have 2 of these mics and really only need one, so i'd like to either sell it or trade it for a GT brick preamp or AT40-series LDC. i'm also open to trade for other mics/preamps of similar value, that are in near perfect condition. the mic has absolutely nothing wrong with it, not even a scratch...i can even wipe off the fingerprints if you want.

if anyone wants, i can take some pics, but it probably won't be for a couple of days. make an offer if interested, and we'll see what can be hashed out!

What kind of shape is the NT2-A in? I may be interested in swapping a Brick for it.

Dr_simon, good offer, but i just got a mackie onyx 1640 at the same time i got the NT-2A, so i'm covered in that department for the time being!

tkingen - the mic is in perfect condition. used a handful of times, and always put away as soon as i was finished. i actually have a few minutes free right now, so i'll go take a couple pics and get them posted.

yea, i got it...thanks much for the offer - i'd still like to see if i can get a brick out of the deal though, because the only preamps i have right now are the ones in the onyx - although they're nice and all, i really want something with some more flavor, especially for bass and vocals

PS - i didn't include it in the pictures, but i still have the original box also

Think I'm going to hang on to the Brick. It does offer a different color and the NT2-A is similar to some mics I already have.

If you have any new shiny guitars I'll "vintage" them for you. Some people have said my "vintage" approach is like a Fender Relic.

If your not familiar with this, what I do is take sandpaper and scratch up the paint real bad, and maybe leave it outside under the garden hose to help start up the corrosion process. A few special taps with the ball-peen hammer for some "road worthy" dents, of course the traditional scratched up back-side (with the infamous belt-buckle markings).
The frets I don't do a lot with, other than just dropping the guitar on its face which usually puts some "vintage" look to the frets.
I've haven't mastered scalloping the frets out.... yet...
