Looking forward to the new Rode NT55 pencil mic

Comes with two heads (omni and cardioid) and
has three pads (0, -10, -20) and three
roll-offs (-75, -150, and flat).

Also looking forward to seeing the specs.

Should be out in a month or so in US:

Targetting . . .

Looks like they're going for the Studio Projects C4 and Oktava MK-012 markets.
Meanwhile I see Marshall offering omni capsules for their celebrated MXL603s.

damnit

i've been sitting around whining to myself constantly that they didn't put a pad or roll-off into the NT5, and now i see why...it's so they can drop another model on me that i'm gonna have to sell the NT5's for

But I think the price of one NT55 will be the
same as a pair of C4s.

Much of that price difference will be in the cost of labor in Australia vs the cost of labor in China by the way.
