General Custer's mic
Just wondering if anyone knew what kind of mic Custer used during the battle of Little Big Horn to communicate with his troops?
I just wanted to know, because I figure whatever it was, it wouldn't make a very good mic for solo rap vocals, and I want to know what to avoid. Thanks. |

How many times do we have to tell you, the problem wasn't in the mic!! If he'd only had a GOOD preamp and converters, THEN we'd be talkin' a whole different page of history. The US Army just kept settling for those budget preamps....... I think they were Buffalinger....

Actually, I think Custer was using a megaphone to yell orders to his troups through, and was using an ear trumpet to listen with.
The Megaphone worked fine, but the ear trumpet had a glob of chewing tobacco shoved into it by PFC Ironfist, the one and only indian under Custer's command. PFC Ironfist packed the ear trumpet full of old chewing tobacco the day Custer called Ironfist's mom a skank, which was also the day Custer's C.O. told him not to do the Bighorn thing. Or so Mr. Wizard says. |

Sadly enough, I believe Union Carbide killed more Indians than Custer.

You have to match the mic and mic stand.
It was Custer's last stand. |

As for his mic, I think it was a Sitting bullhorn.

I think it would have been a shotgun mic, no?

uh, custer was a native of israel and he was a big advocate of the sousaphone, which he would just blow into as hard as possible.
