heavier industrial-esque song - domestic violence

Hey guys, just gone done with a first mix on a new song I was working on. First i guess i'll say ugly subject, ugly song so ya know if theres kids in the room i wouldn't let this song get to the end. Don't want to offend anyone. Any ideas, critiques and obviously mix suggestions are always welcome.

Songs called domestic violence

Very interesting, man....a very Rammstein vibe to this one...Nice sounds. It's very crunchy. You might bring the vox up just a little. They get buried some times. I like how they fir though...so tough call there.

Great tune man....

Dog . Thanks alot, yeah i had a real hard time with the vox on this one . They always seemed to loud or not loud enough. Thanks again for listening. Looking forward to hearing a new tune with that new amp of yours. I used one of those vox's at a show once and it rocked.

gumblefish - thanks alot for the listen. Chain wise is a layla 3g soundcard, at4040 mic. Not much other then that. Amplitube on the guitars (guitars an old cheaper les paul). Drums it's reason and an old akai sampler i have. Thanks again for listening.

Rami- thanks for the bump, i'll be sure to stay out of your stein.

take care

Thanks for the advisory....appreciate that.....

Cool - this has a great groove to it. Vocals are a bit low makes them a bit hard to understand however in this genre they usually are anyway (lol)....

Good tone on the leads and rhythms - nice and dirty.....

Nice way the guitars play off each other.....I like the way the lead runs through this giving it some flavor in addition to the rhythm.

Good one....

Good effort - it works really well & is a worthy topic too. Well done for braving those murky waters.
Mix wise I'd like a little more bass definition & that's all.
Excellent all round really.

Hey Gary! Nice mix man, listening on my surround system. Very full and great sound on guitars. Since the track is somewhat electronic/industrial sounding, sounds like a little more "thump" on the bass would be fitting. Some rammstein synths in places would be fitting too. Good work here man, good song! The ending is pretty intense and haunting.

I love this, man. Great heavy groove. Love that guitar and the distorted drums definitely drive it well. Good mix....all around nice job.

Idol - Very true on the vocal level, i struggle with that alot. Thanks so much for the comments.

jpw23 haha thanks, yeah i'ts been said before but i like this place so i gotta put up the advisory. Not looking to offend anyone. Thanks alot for the comments.

rayc - thanks so much, i know what you mean with the bass. I have to work on that area alot or get a better reference.

TartanRascals - Thanks alot for the comments. No need to be a pro trust me, i've been here awhile and am a long way from anything resembling pro status.

Snake - Thanks so much. Yeah i agree on the bass, i suck at that but you gave me a good idea (checking on my surround system w/ huge sub) .

Rami - Thanks so much for the comments, will reply to your tune when i get home. For some reason unless i can download it at work i can't listen.

Thanks alot guys

take care
