The drums are really cool - notice them right away. Paning on toms is excellent. Snare is nice. Cymbals are very clear....

The vocals seem a bit low coming in but come out nicely when they pick it up a bit. The echo is perfect.

Guitars have a nice vibrato, tone and panning. Solo is very rich sounding - chorus?

Love that telephone effect.....

The part towards the end with guitars coming in first is excellent...

Super - really good tune and mix...

Thanks for the replies fellers... I really appreciate it...

Ido..the solo guitar parts 'effect' is just me playing the part twice...Actually, What I did, was tracked it twice, and panned those two tracks to 65/65 (which is the same for the entire song), but then I took one of those tracks and panned it center and added a some phaser/tremolo effect and put it way in the background in the mix so that the effect only pops up here and there thru the solo part.

I agree the vocal in the beginning is a tad low, and I'm relieved that you think the echo is good, cause the singer is an effect junkie. Alot of people don't like that much effect on vox, He hasn't heard the mix yet, so I was concerned that he might not think that I've added enough effect on his vox.. Personally, I like it the way it is too, hopefully it's enough to keep his yap shut

Hey Perdi...I just saw that you were online and remembered that you had a tune I wanted to check out but I was at work at the time...I had to find this back on page 2. Anyway, the direct link to the song doesn't work for me. Don't worry, I'm sure the link's fine. My confuser is a pain in the ass.

So I went to your Soundclick page, but I don't know which song it is. Let me know the title, buddy.

Hey RAMI, cool thanks for taking the time....actually it wasn't up on soundclick...I didnt' want to put it up there cause of the 128bit limitation, but just for you I've just uploaded it.... should be the 1st tune entitled SIN...

Thanks bro...

I'm interested what you think of the drums, cause your ear with that would be better than mine

Nice mix for sure.
But the vox arent mixed well. They could do with more compression and less lo end and lo mids. Would sound good to add a stereo delay on the telephony vox. Could add a nice dimensoin to the vox.
You could double track the tely vox track and then put a delay on each one and use pan and volume automation to mahe them start in the niddle close up then as they fade away they pan out. That would work nice I think.

Love the bass sound. What did you use for that?

Eck

Kick drum could do with a tad more 5K so it cuts through better, as its hidden sometimes. Nice toms. I would boost the snare a bit also.

Nice tune by the way. Kinda Tool sound.

I agree with ECK on the kik. It sounds good, but could use a bit more click (just a bit to help it cut through). I love the snare, alot. I like that slight ring and you have a good crack with just enough low end. High hats and cymbals, etc...Sound fine. I REALLY like that snare. Actually, I like everything about this tune. A little snap on the kik and it would be perfect to me. Big toms, too.

Good fricking tune, too.

man, this is great. like others have mentioned, the kick needs more definition, but other than that, the whole thing is superb. the drums sound phenomonal. the bass sounds sinister. the guitars sound heavy but clear with no mud whatsoever. the vocals are great too. great use of effects and clever panning. overall, i think its on my short list of some of the best stuff ive heard on here. great job!

Thanks all y'all!! I really appreciate all your ears and advice... So, I took that advice and came up with this as a possible final mix, barring any of your further comments, which will be greatly appreciated if you can find the time

Here is the LINK---> http://www.perdikament.net/INCOMING/SIN1kdMaster256.mp3

I basically added some more effect on the vocals (cause our singer was FREAKIN about not enough processing) and fixed the Kick as per your suggestions (and I think it's alot better now...) I also raised the Drums up a tad, and fixed a slight panning issue on the guitars that I didn't notice before...

*Ohh yea, I also added it to Soundclick as "SIN-new ver-" for you RAMI
