John, hopefully you can answer these questions;

1; what kind of insulation do you recomend covering the hangers.
2; how can I determine thickness and sizes required for any given frequncy
3; does the length of the suspension wire affect the perfomance.

I use dacron insulation - the stuff in lounge suites
The sizes vary to make it broadband but you could attach a contact mike to a sheet and find it's resonate frequency. Don't think the wire length effects it.
