restoration project

I've had this one for around 5 years. It's taken a while to get around to it, but I'm working on it finally. I took a picture before tearing it apart for the humidifier. It's a '61 Roy Smeck/Harmony.

Around 1971 I had an opportunity to buy a Harmony semi in really good condition for about $50. I passed on it, I have regretted it ever since, they were a nice looking axe.

almost done

It turns out the guitar was a '62. The electronics are DeArmond. It sounds pretty neat.. really surfy.. The finish looked pretty trashed. I thought anyway. It cleaned up well. I'm going to let it sit under tension for a few days before I finish the setup. I meant to do it tonight, but I was ftoo busy playing it

I own an electric Harmony Meteor Hollow Body just like this one, http://www.guitargonauts.com/pick-35.html no pick guard. A guy at a music shop took it off when he was checking out the pick ups and couldn't find it. Leastways that is what he told me.

I bought it previously owned in 1975. It was my first guitar. Paid 75.00 dollars for it and a practice amp. I think it was 15 watts. I need to do some restoration on it too.

that is a nice guitar you have there.

That is one nice looking instrument. I hope you enjoy playing it.
Mine is a Bruno Royal Artist semi. It has a killer bridge pick up & is just plain fun to use &, like so many of tha late 60's early 70's job has a unique sound. Mine was AU$70.
True - beautiful guitar you have - lucky goil.
