You're not looking hard enough. There are two sets of stereo outputs on the DM5 - one main and one aux. If you're looking at the back, they are on the right.

You can get up to four individual voices coming out, you just need to set up the output configuration in the DM5. For example, set the kick sample to Main Out and pan it all the way left, snare sample to Main Out and pan it hard right, tom to Aux Out and pan, etc...

And I was only answering it. If my advice isn't helpful then don't take it.

That is the answer to your question. It's also the answer that is in the manual for the DM5. What seems to be the trouble?

The triggers are ONLY inputs into the DM5. As mentioned above, you can have four outputs using the Main and Aux pairs. I usually leave the toms and cymbals panned in stereo with the Mains, and I pan the kick hard left and the snare hard right in the Aux so I can mix and process them as I need.

If you know how to use MIDI, you can capture your music via the MIDI output as you play your drums using the triggers. Once you have your drum tracks recorded to a MIDI track, the possibilities are endless.

.

That's exactly what I do, works out well though sometimes I find it easier to use 1 out for snare, 1 for bass, 1 for toms and 1 for cymbals.

If you use MIDI like Fishmed suggests, you can record each part separately in MIDI, and then using MIDI sync you can record each drum voice to its own audio track through the firepod (4 voices at a time).
MIDI takes time to get yuour head round, but it's worth it.

You hook the midi out on the DM5 to the midi in on the firepod. In cubase record the midi input. Then assign that midi channel to DFH.

Exactly how to do that will be in the manuals of the DM5, Firepod, Cuabse and DFH. The concept is simple, but there are so many variations of device-interface-software that you really need to check the manuals of the stuff that you have.

How do you have $1000 worth of software and no manual?

The dm5 will just put out what ever note the kick is on what ever channel you tell it to (hit the 'midi' button and set the channel)

You need to set cubase to record the midi input that the dm5 is plugged into and the channel that the dm5 is set to.

Record it.

Map the midi note that you recorded to the kick in DFH.

press play.

You need to tell DFH what note is supposed to trigger a kick sound.

Test. I'm just testing to see if I can post on this forum. It says I have to register at the top, but I already have. So I'm testing...testing...

Is this mic on?
