Just wondering..

Can anyone do me a big favor and post some clips of some stuff so I can get an idea of if I'm not tuning right, not micing right, or not mixing right?
I want to hear some un-processed samples of the following:

Overheads (panned maybe just to get the feel of what JUST the overheads should sound like)
Kick
Snare
Toms

For some reason when I mic things, I find that my overheads are too loud and when I bring them down, the rest of my drums sound wierd over the mics. I'd really appreciate it if one of you guys could post some samples like this. I'm sure it would help other people on this board too...

How far above the kit do you have your overheads?

See this thread where I posted a bunch of clips using different stereo techniques just using over heads.

Thanks guys.. I'm checkin out the thread you posted bubba.. good stuff...
About the OH height, I usually put them about 2 1/2 - 3 feet above the kit. I don't have a lot of ceiling height to play with though. Also last time I recorded I was short a boom stand so I couldn't get them very high.
