yamaha stage custom hardware question
I have a 5-piece Yamaha Stage Custom Kit. The lowest tom has a standard mount fixed to it's shell. I'm assuming this was designed to float from a cymbal stand. Can anyone confirm this? I see the tom ball clamp at Yamaha's site, http://yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/Cont...215900,00.html, but how will this mount to the stand? Is there a corresponding clamp to buy as well? Thanks.

You need what is known as a multi clamp. Here is Yamaha's version:
link You can get this same sort of part from many different makers, so don't kill yourself looking for a Yamaha branded part.
