M-30 Expert Roll-Call!

Allright, Ive posted a number of times on this, and would prefer NOT (the price of gasoline, off the top of my 'daily bread', is already enough to drop me down a tube) to spend the bread on the TEAC $price$ for the manual!

I would happily return the favor in any way plausible, either info or other reasonable resource...

I'm looking to get some clues as the workings of this mixer- routing layout, etc.

Thanks!

Well maybe I can help. I have 3 of them.
Do you have a question on something specific?

Well, yes, Herm! Thanks for the reply. The one on top of the list is about monitoring:

If I'm routing incoming signal (from mics, another mixer with phantom power, etc) through the M-30 into a soundcard to record to software on my PC, how can I return signal back out again through the M-30 for monitoring- so that I can send a monitor signal to my near-fields, and to a headphone amp? For starters?...

See, there are sections on the M-30 that I'm not sure about concerning actual use. Sub-Mix, Monitor, etc...

Use the Submix section as your "traffic routing" section, which you will also monitor straight off of, w/headphone monitor, etc. Also key is to use the Tape-Rtns jacks on the M30 to accommodate the "track outputs" of your 'puter/interface. So,... for "live" input signals, (mic/line signals routed to busses and going offboard to "tape"/i'face inputs), you switch Submix Select to "Input", and for cue tracks switch that channel's Submix Select to "Tape". Route the Submix Outs to an MH-40, and you're there. (M30 Headphones switched to "Submix").
