quick punch in protools

I recorded a track in Protools and I would like to record over about 4 measures. How do I program a quick punch?

Operations-->Quick Punch mode
the quick key, I think, may be the number 6 on the numeric keypad.....but that's off the top of my head.

number 3 on the keypad when your in quickpunch mode.

is it really number 3? i tried every button when in quick punch mode, and i get nothing.

yes, numeric keypad #3...it is also the quick key for record when in any mode.

you go into quick punch mode, press play and when you want to punch in, press 3
