Voice Sampling off T.V.

Can you get in trouble for using voice samples off TV?

I've heard so many songs with sayings from movies and TV shows so I was wondering, do you have to get permission or can you just use these types of samples?

How about music from movies? I got a really good sample off a 1933 movie but I have no idea if I can use it or not.

Can somebody give me some advice? Maybe a good book to read on this or something?

Thanks in advance,

Frek

If the Movie is from 1933 then I think you can use it Royalty free because I believe after 50 years all Music and Movies become part of Public domain,..

This Law probably Varries from Country to country and state to state so you should check it out.....

Cheers
