I have a newbie question! spidf

So what cable to I need for this? I have a lynxone and the digital out/in is on XLR. They say use an XLR-RCA cable. Do rca cables work? I was at guitar center (OH OH!) and asked what I needed and they got me some digital cable that has RCA like ends. Will just a normal XLR to RCA work?

The digital output with the xlr connector is AES/EBU, not spdif. They are not directly compatable.

I just looked it up, it seems that it does send spdif if you tell it to. You are going to have to call the makers and see where you can source the adapter cable. Technically, spdif is supposed to run on 75 ohm cable (like cable TV cable) and AES/EBU is supposed to run on 110 ohm cable. Normal xlr to rca audio cable can work but it isn't optimal.
