Using EZ Drummer with FL6

Let me preface this by saying I am very much a newbie when it comes to computer recording and MIDI. I recently purchased FruityLoops along with ToonTrack's EZ Drummer in hopes of finding an easy way for creating some realistic drum tracks. The step sequencer seems clear to me. I can drag and drop a MIDI groove from EZ Drummer into the step sequencer with no problem, however, I cannot wrap my head around the piano roll feature in order to create and/or modify my own MIDI drum beat.

Can someone please explain to me how to use the sounds from EZ Drummer to trigger in FL? And also how to edit MIDI files using the piano roll? I've read the manual and it's still not sinking in.

Thanks!

Editing in FL is usually not done on the piano roll, you can use a different veiw to see it as beats, broken down into sixteenth notes, then you just click which beat you want to trigger each sample on. You can also adjust how loud each item hits at if you want on that same place.

As for using the samples from ezdrummer, you can (if i recall correctly) right click and load a new sample, then browse to the place where the sample is saved and load it. Do that for each part of the kit.
