Connecting analog mixer to pro tools

OK. I have an Alto amx 220 22 channel analog mixer and an Mbox running pro tools through my computer. I don't know how to get the mixer connected to be used as a controller for Pro Tools. Can anyone help me?

Regardless of how you get your mixer connected, I don't think it is possible.

To control Pro Tools (or any DAW for that matter) you may want to look into this sort of things
**********
You can use you mixer for recording and mixing. Then you look at your M-Box/Computer/ProTools Jam as a "recorder" with what ever options/features it provides. The mixer can maniputate/alter the signal(s) that 'passing' through it, but it can not 'control' the actions of your "recorder".

Basically mixing means "sending" two (or more) signal(s) into a mixer and "getting" one (or less than have been sent) sinal(s) out of the mixer
The signals to be mixed "coming" from outputs of the source devices and entering the mixer via the inputs (channels) of the mixer. The mixed signal(s) are being "taken" from output(s) of the mixer and are being sent commonly to a recording device or an amplifier.
If I'm not mistaken, Mbox provides two analog outputs. So you options are: to take the signals from two provided outputs, 'send" them to two channel line inputs of your mixer and mix them together. That's about it.

btw, do you have manuals for your Mbox, Protools and your mixer. In case you don't - get them all.
