My New Song.....

The Ballad of Jake Masters is my latest tune and is timed to coincide with the release of my new CD "No Yodeling Allowed". This was my first CD and I enjoyed it. I learned a lot while making it.
Thanks,

I know this sounds silly but in the stereo image the bass drum sounds like it coming from your chest or throat. I'm listening on OK speakers through an old amp.
I like the track - the story is cool - not so sure about the b/vocal or the level of the pedal steel it seems a bit up front.

Thanks Ray...

It was really hard holding the kit up on my chest

As always, this is a learning experience. I've learned a lot about recording, mixing, mastering, art work, marketing, etc.... After two days of CD sales, I've broken even on the actual physical replication cost, so I'm quite happy with the project. The CD is getting some airplay as well as some extensive internet listening. It is numero 5 on the alt country chart today, so that is cool. I waited 54 years to make this and I had fun! I'm already hard at work on the next one.
