a decent combo. i just tested it out on acoutic and i liked it.
audio buddy is really small, a very handy size, clear, similar sound to the dmp-3 and plenty of gain, i was surprised. i already liked the 991, but the 990 isn't so bad either. i'll be setting the 990's up on the drums and save the 991's for acoustic guitar. it was a good deal. look around you may find the same deal i got.... |

I have the 991 and 990 combo pack. I really like the 991. Great for acoustic instruments and Overheads. The 990 is OK for vocals. It seems a little thin, but really helps vocalists who have really low voices and are harder to get EQ'd. Right now I am a big fan of the Studio Projects B1 for vocals. I little more money, but it really sounds nice for the money too.

I just recorded a Steinway with a pair of Josephson C42s, an Audio Buddy and a Behringer USB interface. Turned out pretty damn well, if I do say so myself. Of course, I'm sure it would have sounded better if I had wanted to take my SCA pres out of the rack for this track, but, oh well.

www.guitarcenter.com has a deal for an audio buddy and the 990/991 package together for $99 but everytime I click on the link, it's only for the 990/991 package.
oh well. |
